Oldehover Tower leans, curves, and is an unfinished project but is one of the most important symbols of the city of Leeuwarden! Situated in the medieval center, the tower is 39 meters tall with 183 steps. It was supposed to sit next to a church that was never built - that’s why the tower is the way you can see it today! The Leuuwarders are proud of their Oldehove and if you come along, you might even get to hear their famous saying; ‘If I can’t see the Oldehove, then I don’t feel at ease'.
