Die herrliche Landschaft Madeiras steht im Mittelpunkt dieser Ganztagestour. Erkunden Sie eine Reihe von Highlights, darunter das malerische Dorf Ribeira Brava, Porto Moniz, Paúl da Serra und den Encumeada-Pass. Mariana, eine unserer ortskundigen Tourguides, sagt: "Sie werden die wahre Dramatik der Landschaften Madeiras kennenlernen. Ihr erstes Ziel ist das malerische Dorf Ribeira Brava mit seiner ansprechenden Strandpromenade hinter dem Strand. Die Aussicht entlang des Tals auf das Inselinnere gibt einen Vorgeschmack auf die beeindruckenden Landschaften, die Sie auf dem Weg ins Landesinnere entdecken werden. Mariana fügt hinzu: "Sie werden auf Ihrer Reise feststellen, dass auf Madeira kein Fleckchen fruchtbares Land verschwendet wird - selbst die steilen Hänge um Ribiera Brava sind terrassenförmig angelegt, um Nutzpflanzen anzubauen." Dann ist es Zeit für einen Spaziergang durch eine Bananenplantage in Madalena do Mar.

Als Nächstes geht es auf die 1.500 m hohe Hochebene Paúl da Serra, bevor Sie nach Porto Moniz hinunterfahren, das für seine natürlichen Lavafelsen-Schwimmbecken bekannt ist. Im Dorf erwartet Sie ein typisches Mittagessen, das mit lokalen Produkten frisch zubereitet wird. Anschließend geht es von Norden nach Süden über den Encumeada-Pass, von wo aus man einen fantastischen Blick über die Insel hat. Den Abschluss des Tages bildet eine Vorführung und Verkostung des Poncha-Getränks in Câmara de Lobos - einem beliebten Urlaubsort von Winston Churchill. We had a great trip, Monica, our guide was excellent. She was very knowledgeable and gave us the right amount of information. There was plenty of stops on the trip, viewing points, banana plantations and coastal areas. The food was good and we tried the poncha. A full day out and good value.

Quite a good coach trip, the high cliff view was good, the next small village by the coast was unimpressive. The rest was very good. Lunch in Porto Moniz was very tasty with great views over the sea. Could have spent more time here as there's an aquarium to visit as well. We also stopped at a mighty roadside waterfall which was good & finished up in Camara de Lobos which is also a great place to visit, nice harbour and walks. Overall 8 out of 10 it's an all day tour.

I really enjoyed the Cabo Girao walkway and views. Monica the guide was brilliant and very informative. I didn't really appreciate some of the town stops as there wasn't much point. The poncha stop was busy and could have been anywhere so not great.

Best day of my holiday. An opportunity to appreciate the magnificence of Madeira. From the wonderful views to the appreciation of the fauna. The banana plantation was very interesting. The guide Carla was so knowledgeable with perfect English. The lunch was lovely. All in an excellent day.

Make memories with an experience that the world will thank you for."During the months of October to April, your first stop is at Funchal Ecological Park, where a sustainable activity will take place, contributing to the conservation of the endemic flora of the Island. Next, you'll visit the village of Machico for a look around. When the island was discovered in 1419 by Portuguese explorers, this is where they first landed.Heading off-road towards the north, you'll zigzag through an ancient laurel forest – a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999 – on scenic trails towards the mountain town of Santana to see its steep-roofed, straw-thatched homes. After a well-deserved lunch break in a typical local restaurant, you'll round off with a pit stop at a nearby viewpoint, offering knockout coastal panoramas all the way to Madeira's easternmost point, the São Lourenço peninsula. Plus, there's a photo stop at a waterfall, Cascada de Agauge, on the itinerary, too. If you're visiting from May to September, we switch up the order of your tour, so you start your trip to Machico to learn about how Madeira was discovered by Portuguese explorers. The Monte Palace Tropical Gardens float a thousand metres above Funchal, so breathe deeply and enjoy the fresh mountain air on this half-day tour. You'll begin with a visit to the village of Monte, before heading to the main event – 70,000 square metres of themed gardens, sculptures, wildlife and water features.There's something new around every corner of this sprawling garden.
