Then you will delve deep into the history of Berlin. Your guide will take you on time travel from the Teutonic Knights through to its key role in the major events of the twentieth century. Enter the moving Memorial Dedicated to the Victims of War and Tyranny, and go to the location where Nazis burned books in the infamous 1933 book-burning.
You will also see a section of the Berlin Wall and spend time at Checkpoint Charlie, the place where an American-Soviet standoff took place and WWIII felt like an imminent threat. The tour finishes with a flourish at the historic and picturesque Pariser Platz, right in front of the beautiful Brandenburg Gate and close to the famous Hotel Adlon.
