The Valencian guide frogmarched us from square to square. She stood waving her arms about, we couldn't hear her but the snippets we did hear she just said what kind of food the various restaurants sold !!!!! We left the group and wandered about on our own. We were then taken to the museum of arts and science. Very large buildings but we did't get much time to look around. Waste of our time and horrible day.

We had 2 groups on the tours English and Dutch they should have split us up as we had 2 interpreters and we could have had more time to see the sights. This was the only let down.

When the tour is over, you'll have free time to explore further, grab a bite to eat or browse the shops. The streets around Calle Colon, a modern boulevard, boast all kinds of stores – from global high street brands to luxury goods shops as well as the latest in technology. There are also smaller, original boutiques selling haute couture clothing. Martí adds, "If all that shopping tires you out, pop over to the art nouveau Colon Market. Transfer to the Moors and Christians Festival of La Vila Joiosa

Declared a Festival of International Tourist Interest, the Moors and Christians Festival of La Vila Joiosa is one of Costa Blanca's most spectacular celebrations. Every summer, this sleepy seaside town bursts into life for a week of parades, parties and historical battle re-enactments that'll whisk you straight back to the 16th century. Locals dress up as Moors or Christians, and the whole town gets involved – there's dancing, drumming and enough paella to feed a packed Wembley Stadium. With this transfer ticket, all you need to do is turn up ready to celebrate in style. Whether you're into history, costumes, or just love a good fiesta, this lively summer event has loads to offer. It's all about celebrating the town's past, when locals fought off a pirate invasion in 1538. Legend has it that Saint Martha, the town's patron saint, stepped in to save the day by flooding the beach and sinking the pirate ships. As a thank you, the townspeople began holding annual celebrations in her honour.
