Inmortalizada en Romeo y Julieta de Shakespeare, Verona ocupa un lugar especial en los corazones de los enamorados. Te enamorarás de la ciudad en esta excursión de un día desde el Lago de Garda, en la que conocerás sus principales monumentos mientras paseas por las calles llenas de historia de su casco antiguo.

Su guía le mostrará los lugares más destacados, como la Porta Borsari romana y la arena romana, que se utiliza cada verano para un festival de ópera, y el Balcón de Julieta. También hay algunos puentes realmente históricos sobre el río Adigio, así como una colección de iglesias y basílicas medievales de categoría mundial.

También verá el exterior de las Tumbas Scaligeras, cinco mausoleos góticos de la familia Scaligera, nobles que gobernaron Verona. Y descubrirá la monumental Piazza dei Signori, donde se encuentra la iglesia románica de Santa Maria Antica, y la Piazza delle Erbe. También dispondrá de tiempo libre para comer e ir de compras.

City guide who gave the tour wasn't very engaging. Time on bus a lot longer than expected and not an 8 hour day.

I enjoyed the whole day. We didn’t do the walking tour as we wanted to explore ourselves. Plenty of time to see what we wanted and have lunch. The only downside was the coach. There was no leg room, the seats are too close together and as we were the first pick up we was on the coach 2.5 hours. There was no service stop on this trip, and it doesn’t have an onboard loo.

The travelling time was over 2.5 hours each way and this was due mainly to the numerous, out of the way picks and drop offs. The guide during the trip was excellent and very knowledgeable, however the guide in the city was extremely boring and didn’t bring any “light and shade” to his tour, just a boring, low pinched monotone! The tour was extremely short.
