Retken kuvaus

Kylät, näköalapaikat ja tulivuoriperäiset kalliot koristavat Gran Canarian rosoista selkärankaa. Tällä retkellä tutustut saaren upeimpiin maisemiin ja pysähdyt matkan varrella Terorin, Tejedan ja Fatagan kylissä. David, yksi paikallisoppaistamme, kertoo: "Legenda Neitsyt Marian ilmestymisestä Terorissa kiehtoo minua yhä. Se tapahtui vuonna 1481, kun kastilialaiset valloittivat Gran Canarian, ja se auttoi muuttamaan saaren kohtalon."

Tutustut ensin Teroriin. Kävele Calle Real de la Plazan parvekkeellisten talojen ohi kohti vuorten reunustamaa Nuestra Señora del Pinon basilikaa, joka on yksi Gran Canarian tunnusomaisista kokemuksista. Maisemallisen vuoristomatkan päässä on Tejeda, joka hurmaa punakattoisilla, valkoisiksi kalkituilla taloilla, joita on ripoteltu laakson rinteeseen. This was an excellent trip. Marco, our driver, while modestly stating that he was ‘just a driver’, gave us so much information about the island. His driving was smooth, safe and competent. There was enough time to have a look about at each stop. I enjoyed the main meal and the staff in the restaurant were attentive. The starters, dessert and coffee of the main meal were nice, but the main course needs a rethink in my opinion. The meats were overcooked - perhaps a casserole would be better.

This Day Tour was really great, as we got to see new areas of interest, with fabulous scenery. Out Tour guide was very friendly and most knowlegable, and our 'mountain' driver very skilled. The only slight disappointment was a very poor quality Lunch, which is most unusual for Tui. However, on balance, a lovely day, thank you.
