The E-Bike Farm Tour offers an immersive experience into the authentic farmland of Kefalonia on an E-Bike (Fatbike). This tour's highlights include visiting a Farmer's Market and a traditional olive oil mill. Accompanied by a knowledgeable guide, you'll first cycle to the Farmer's Market.
Upon reaching your first stop, the local Farmer’s Market, you'll gain a comprehensive overview of Kefalonia’s fresh produce. After a warm welcome, you'll savour fresh mountain tea (Tsai tou vounou). Next, you'll visit another market stall where you can taste watermelon (karpouzi), a staple of Greece's summer cuisine. The proud farmers will offer samples of their homemade regional products, fresh from the land, such as artisanal jam and pure honey from bees.
The tour continues south via the main road uphill (approximately 45 minutes of cycling). Upon arrival at your second stop, the Olive Oil Farm in Metaxata, you'll discover one of Greece's most famous creations: olive oil. After a tour around the olive oil farm, an expert will present on the different olive oil varieties available in Kefalonia. You'll also have the opportunity to taste various types of olive oil paired with a Greek salad and other delectable dishes. This gastronomic tour promises to stimulate all your senses.
Finally, it's time to cycle back to Argostoli through the hills, mostly downhill. Enjoy the sea view to the west and the view of the Koutavos lagoon to the east. Both are truly spectacular.
