Retken kuvaus

Päiväsi alkaa matkalla Reykjavikista historialliseen Thingvellirin kansallispuistoon, jossa Amerikan ja Euraasian mannerlaatat kohtaavat. Saat kokea jotain todella ainutlaatuista, kun olet yhdellä jalalla kahdessa eri paikassa. Sen jälkeen matka jatkuu kuuluisalle kuumalle lähteelle. Toinen lähellä oleva kuuma lähde, Strokkur, on edelleen aktiivinen ja purkautuu jopa 30 metrin korkeuteen muutaman minuutin välein. Alueella sinulla on myös aikaa ostaa lounasta tai pientä purtavaa.

Seuraavaksi ohjelmassa on Gullfossin vesiputous, joka tunnetaan myös nimellä Kultainen vesiputous. Islannin suosituimpiin nähtävyyksiin kuuluva Gullfoss hämmästyttää voimallaan ja kauneudellaan syöksyen 32 metriä alas jylhään kanjoniin. Nämä kolme nähtävyyttä täydentävät klassisen Kultaisen kierroksen, mutta se ei ole kaikki, mitä koet!

Pysähdyt myös Keridin tulivuorikraatterilla, joka on 3000 vuotta vanha ja 55 metriä syvä kraatteri, ja se tarjoaa todella ainutlaatuisen näkymän Islannin maisemaan. Sen jälkeen vierailet vihdoin ikonisessa Sinisessä laguunissa, jossa voit viettää loppupäivän rentoutuen luonnollisissa kuumissa vesissä ennen kuin palaat takaisin Reykjavikiin.

All of it was good, maybe slightly more time at each place but that’s only being picky. Our guide Monica (reddish hair, red puffer jacket and puffin in the minibus) was the best guide we’ve ever had, she really cared about us, was so funny and went out of her way to stop at places she thought we’d like- to stroke horses, photo opportunities etc! Our comfort was also a priority- air con in bus and careful on the bumpy roads ! She made it amazing! Everyone on the bus gave her a tip!!

Excellent tour featuring a lot of Icelands top points of interest. A lot of walking where good footwear is a must. Finishing at the Blue Lagoon gave the opportunity to relax after a busy day.
