Cosa aspettarsi

La costa atlantica del Marocco è la protagonista di questo tour. Da Agadir partirete verso nord, lungo questo tratto di costa panoramico. Attraverserete piccoli villaggi di pescatori e luoghi di ritrovo dei surfisti per raggiungere Timlalin, un insieme di dune di sabbia selvagge che scendono verso il mare, perfette per gli appassionati di sandboard di tutte le abilità. Omar, una delle nostre esperte guide locali, proviene dal vicino villaggio di Tamri. Cresce come figlio di un pescatore a Tamri, che a malapena offre la possibilità di un futuro migliore: la pesca e l'agricoltura erano le uniche opzioni. Ora la gente viene da ogni parte per scoprire la nostra regione".

Quando arriverete a Timlalin, non vi unirete alla folla dei surfisti sulle onde, ma salirete su una tavola da sabbia per sfrecciare sulle imponenti dune di Timlalin. Questi banchi perfetti per gli Insta godono di una posizione speciale: vi sembrerà di essere nel deserto, ma con lo sfondo dell'oceano. Ci sono anche delle impressionanti grotte e scogliere color sabbia.

Prendete la vostra tavola e preparatevi a una corsa emozionante. Ci sono pendenze adatte a tutti, quindi potete iniziare lentamente, anche seduti sulla tavola, finché non vi sentite sicuri. Man mano che ci si impratichisce, si passa a dune più ripide e più lunghe e si fa un ottimo allenamento scendendo e risalendo a piedi. Per concludere la vostra esperienza, condividete un po' di tè alla menta con la gente del posto. Omar dice: "I visitatori sono una vera forza per il bene di questa zona. Oggi le donne del posto sono in grado di vendere ai visitatori i loro prodotti fatti in casa a base di olio di argan o di miele e questo può bastare per pagare l'istruzione dei loro figli".

As we travel higher up into the mountains, the jaw-dropping views over Paradise Valley are sure to leave an impression. We'll arrive in the village of Immouzer to see how life in a typical Berber mountain community unfolds. On hot days, you might see local kids jumping off the rocks into the natural pools just outside the village.As you stroll around the village, you'll pass stalls selling Moroccan souvenirs and the prized local honey. Jamal says, ‘My mother used to prepare an artisanal treat known as “amlou”, made with Immouzer honey mixed with crushed almonds and argan oil, a real Berber delicacy.' Next it's time for an al fresco lunch prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. You'll have some free time to relax and take in your dramatic surroundings before we return to Agadir through a different route in the mountains.
