You'll walk 16 kilometres along the snake-like trails – down 800 metres of negative elevation – into a volcano crater basin, gaze out over incredible scenery and visit La Cascade de Colores – a waterfall where iron-rich waters create a rainbow effect in the rock.

    Het is een zware wandeling, maar dubbel en dwars de moeite waard, erg mooi. De wandeling staat als 6+ leeftijd maar moet 12+ zijn. Voor deze wandeling moet je stevig in de schoenen staan vanwege de vele ongelijke rots paden met gladde stenen waar je makkelijk op kunt wegglijden.

    Het is gewoon een prachtige tocht. Vooral het eerste deel. Het laatste deel was minder afwisselend en er werd ook niet zoveel meer verteld door de gids. Ik heb genoten van de uitzichten, van de gekleurde waterval, en van de mooie onderzeese lava.

    Dit was een trip Om nooit te vergeten. Zoveel moois te zien. De wandelpaden waren niet altijd even gemakkelijk begaanbaar maar wij hebben het ervaren als een supermooie wandeling en de gids nam de tijd om veel te vertellen. Geweldig. Dubbel en dwars het geld waard

    Het is een pittige wandeling, een groot deel door de rivierbedding. Het is wel voor het grootste deel dalen of over vlakke stukken. Onze gids was super, vertelde over de omgeving en gaf duidelijke instructies/tips en informatie die we nodig hadden. Hij kwam erg ervaren en professioneel over.

    Prachtige wandeling, laatste gedeelte voor mensen met een iets mindere conditie wel wat zwaarder, maar beslist de moeite waard! Fijn ook dat we een Nederlandse gids hadden!

    Leuke excursie waarbij je de natuur vanaf de hoogte kan bekijken en zelfs voorbij een waterval komt. We werden met een taxi naar het hoogste punt bij het National Park van La Palma gebracht. Tijdens de excursie zijn we op een aangenaam tempo langs de steile wandelpaden naar beneden gewandeld. Onze reisleider nam de tijd om over de natuur te vertellen en plande geregeld een korte pauze in waardoor de wandeling van een dag goed was vol te houden.

Plus, you'll discover wonders such as Roque de los Muchachos and the primeval Caldera de Taburiente.Your adventure kicks off as you venture up the 2,500m-high Roque de los Muchachos – La Palma's highest peak – passing the domed astronomical observatory on the way. At the top, take in the views over the 8km-wide Caldera de Taburiente, the island's only national park. Ringed by cloud-bursting peaks, this immense bowl is thick with pine forests and waterfalls. Your guide will fill you in on the park's history and how your visit will help conserve its ecosystems.Next, it's on to Puntagorda – arguably one of the prettiest villages in the Canaries. Nestled between two ravines, rows of pine and almond trees flank cobbled streets that enjoy sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean. Here, you'll have some time to have a poke around the weekly farmer's market, with stalls dedicated to local produce and handicrafts. At El Time viewpoint, there are heart-pounding views over the Angustias gorge. We'll also make our way to Tajuya viewpoint, from where you can observe the scarred, inferno-like slopes of the Tajogaite volcanic cone, formed from an eruption in autumn 2021.
