Groesbeek Canadian War Cemetery is a place where you can witness a more sobering side of WWII. The cemetery is unique as many of the buried soldiers were moved from Germany to their current resting places, moving across international borders. This procedure was carried out by General Crerar as he didn't want his lost commanded Canadian land forces to be buried on German soil.

The cemetery also celebrates National Remembrance Day, which commemorates members of the Commonwealth land forces who lost their lives during the final stages of WWII.
