You will explore some of the most famous Outlander filming locations such as Midhope Castle, the real-life Lallybroch, Doune Castle, the seat of Clan MacKenzie and the impressive Blackness Castle, the setting for Fort William.

Know in advance:

Temporary Update (valid until 19.10.2025): The Outlander tours from Edinburgh and Glasgow are modified due to filming at Doune Castle and Blackness Castle
Audio guides are available in Chinese, French, German, Portuguese, Spanish, Italian upon request at check-in
All castle entrance ticket is included
When one castle is closed, it will be replaced with Linlithgow Palace (also featured in Outlander)
When both castles are closed, replacements will be Linlithgow Palace and Culross Palace
Modified itinerary when both castles are closed:
- 8:45am: Depart Edinburgh
- 9:30-9:40am: Midhope Castle (exterior only)
- 10:15am: Linlithgow Palace (replaces Doune Castle)
- 12:00pm: Callendar House (lunch stop)
- Afternoon: Culross/Culross Palace (replaces Blackness Castle)
- Later: Royal Burgh of Falkland (Inverness in the series)
- View Forth Bridges
- 5:30pm: Return to Edinburgh

Your passport or ID card
Students must hold a valid ISIC/ISE/ITIC card
Comfortable walking shoes and a waterproof jacket are recommended in case of light rain
