Nadat je om 10.00 uur je groep in het hotel hebt ontmoet, ga je naar Pompeii om een van de meest fascinerende plekken in Napels te bezoeken, dankzij het verhaal van een professionele gids. In de tijd van de Romeinen was Pompeii een rijke en dichtbevolkte stad, vol openbare en particuliere gebouwen.

Op een zomerdag in 79 na Christus werden heel Pompeii en zijn ongeveer 20.000 inwoners bedekt onder tonnen as en puimsteen vanwege een gewelddadige explosie van de Vesuvius. Een regen van lapilli zette zich overal neer, bedekte de grond meer dan 6 meter, wikkelde alles in en maakte afdrukken van de lichamen en kleding van degenen die op de vlucht waren.

Na ongeveer 2000 jaar later heb je de mogelijkheid om het dagelijkse leven van het keizerlijke tijdperk te ontdekken en je de angst van de bevolking voor te stellen voordat de stad werd verwoest. Tijdens een wandeling van 2 uur zal uw gids de meest tot de verbeelding sprekende plekken van de stad illustreren, zoals het Forum, de Spa, het Huis van de Daken met zijn prachtige fresco's en de Lupanar. Een niet te missen bezoek voor iedereen die deze regio van Italië bezoekt! Na de tour keert u om 13.30 uur terug naar Napels.
