Ischia wordt gedomineerd door de Epomeo, een klein maar bergachtig eiland voor de noordpunt van de baai van Napels. Met bloeiende tuinen, kuuroorden en een prachtig landschap is het ook een heerlijke dagtocht vanuit Sorrento. Deze bestaat uit een schilderachtige rit, vrije tijd voor de lunch en de beroemde tuinen van La Mortella.

Eerst op deze volledige dagtour is de overtocht met de vleugelboot van Sorrento naar het vulkanische Ischia. Bij aankomst leert u het eiland kennen met een panoramische rit om de hoogtepunten te zien. Er is een lunchpauze voor het volgende deel van de tour.

In de namiddag zijn de subtropische tuinen van La Mortella de ster van de show. Ze werden aangelegd en gedurende tientallen jaren liefdevol verzorgd door de Engelse componist William Walton en zijn Argentijnse vrouw Susana, en er zijn meer dan 300 zeldzame en exotische planten te zien, samen met sierlijke beelden en watervallen.
