For a truly celestial holiday experience, it's hard to beat this evening dinner in Boa Vista's Viana desert. We'll pick you at your hotel and bring you to the middle of nowhere, far away from light pollution, for an unrivalled view of the Milky Way in its full glory. With the ever-changing moon phases, this is sure to be a unique experience at any time of the year.

On arrival at the Viana Club, you'll be handed a welcome drink before listening in to a briefing on what to expect of the evening. Dinner will then be ready - a buffet of traditional Cape Verdean dishes for you to feast on.

And after eating, there's another treat - you'll head outside for an exhilarating view of the heavens. Gaze into the stars and planets with your naked eyes and with the help of telescopes – it's simply amazing. The kids are also well looked after as there are some gravity-centred activities for them to take part in.

Booked this trip through the First Choice app got the voucher with pick up time stated as 645pm , so we headed down for 645, waited until 730 no pick up arrived, i called customer service was promised a call back this never happenned. I went and spoke to the Tui rep in the hotel who advised we should have been there 10 to 15mins early, this instruction is not stated on the voucher i received I am still waiting for a responce regarding the refund 24hrs later. Very dissapointed!

We had a really lovely evening - got to see Saturn and Jupiter and caught a photo of andromeda galaxy. Learned so much about the constellations and had a really lovely meal too!

Food was poor, little choice if you didn't like the meat or fish option. My husband had rice and beans and potato for his meal more vegetables could be offered and on top of this the food was Luke warm. Enjoyed the talk on the stars unfortunately it was cloudy.
