The Tui transfer bus to and from the park was really good. The sealion and dolphin shows were amazing and worth the price just on their own.

I’ve been on many excursions over the years and this has got to be thee worst. £28 each for myself and my daughter we were expecting a good day out. The bus left at 10:40 and it took around 30 minutes to get to the park when we arrived it was obvious there wasn’t much to see. It took us all of 10 minutes to walk around we watched the sea lion and dolphin show then there was nothing else to watch. At 1pm we got a taxi back instead of the bus as it wasn’t into 4:15pm and I wasn’t wait 3 hours.

We were very disappointed to have to walk 10 minutes down the road to another hotel to be picked up which has never been the case on any of our other TUI holidays, all other guests seemed to get dropped at their hotels on the way back except us. We were also extremely disappointed that there were multiple excursions on our coach meaning we had to go out of our way to pick these trips up before we could actually head back to our pick up point. We won’t be booking trips through TUI again.

Very small park, walked round twice in about an hour, then had to wait all day to get the transfer. Transfer also took twice as long as was originally mentioned. We ended up leaving the park and walking around the area. Couple of animal shows which were about average. Not value for money.

Marineland was tiny and definitely didnt need a full day. The speakers were too loud for my ASD son which ruined the whole experience for him

You'll visit the honey-stone village of Valldemossa, explore handsome Soller town and enjoy the views on a vintage train ride through mountains and valleys. Xisco, one of our expert local guides, says, ‘The train is the pride of the people of Soller. Because their town was so hard to reach behind the mountains, they built the railway with their own money a century ago so they could be connected to Palma and export their famous oranges.'Kick off in Valldemossa, a cluster of stone houses tumbling from a ridge in the heart of the Tramuntana Mountains. You can either explore the village under your own steam or join a guided tour to learn more about its history and culture. Grab your camera for this half-day tour to the cute-as-a-button village of Fornalutx, in Majorca's scenic Serra de Tramuntana Mountains. And since this tour is part of our Sites & Bites collection, you can expect to level up your visit with some seriously good eats.Your transfers are included as standard, so you'll be picked up from your accommodation by your guide and taken to Fornalutx. On the way, you'll hear about the history of the village, which has been formally recognised as one of the most beautiful in Spain. Plus, the drive to Fornalutx follows winding roads that offer up some pretty incredible views of Majorca's interior, so don't forget to snap some pictures. When you arrive, your guide will tell you about some of the things you can see and do in the village, then you're free to wander around on your own. The first thing to do is go for a wander through the village's narrow streets – it's the best way to get a good look at all the stone houses here. There's a bunch of shops and cafes here, as well. Speaking of food, before you leave here, you'll have the chance to sample an ensaimada, a traditional sweet pastry.After your free time in Fornalutx, there's one more stop you'll make before heading back to your accommodation, a gelateria. Heladeria Fet a Soller is an artisan ice-cream shop that is known for offering up Majorcan-specific flavours in ice-cream form. Almond, lemon and orange are just a few of the heavy hitters this place has a reputation for, with the fresh fruits sourced from the Soller valley. Alongside sampling some of the creamy stuff yourself, you'll also be shown around the shop with a tour.

Palma by night with optional guided tour or dinner

By day Palma is a medieval wonderland, by night it's a radiant hive of activity. You'll be taken to Majorca's elegant capital for an evening away from your resort. Browse designer stores, dine in trendy Santa Catalina or stroll on the city walls under the Gothic cathedral. Xisco, one of our expert local guides, says, ‘La Llotja is a 600-year-old medieval exchange. It's free to visit and you can follow its twisting Gothic columns as they wind their way to the ceiling. You can also spot a ‘spy box', where spotters would look down on the crowd to see if anyone was stealing.'Arriving Palma in the early evening, you'll have about five hours to spend in the capital. You can choose to have the evening to yourselves with five hours of free time to wander at your own pace and perhaps find a place to enjoy a meal. Alternatively, you could opt to join a guided tour of the historic city to get some local insight as you weave through the amospheric streets for around 90 minutes. If you decide to book the dinner option, you'll dine in the Cellar sa Premsa restaurant at 8pm.Most shops are open late so you can visit the boutiques and high street stores around the tree-lined boulevard of Passeig d'es Born, or browse for souvenirs near the cathedral, which glows in after-dark floodlighting. Palma is a city which stays up late, and many cultural attractions such as La Llotja and Es Baluard Modern Art Museum stay open until 8 or 9pm, so you can sightsee even on an evening visit.

Guided tour of Hams Caves with Dinosaurland visit

As family outings in Majorca go, it's hard to beat this double-header to the Hams Caves and Dinosaurland. It's a spine-tingling journey into the island's pre-history, where Genesis and Titanosaur will leave you open-mouthed. Marga, one of our local guides, says, "this tour really captures the imagination as you go from one of Majorca's oldest attractions, the 10-million-year-old Hams Caves, to one of the newest, the recently opened Dinosaurland."The Hams Caves may be millions of years old, but they were discovered only last century. And since then, they've become one of the island's top attractions. As you explore the three main caves, you'll learn about the island's original inhabitants. The semi-open Round Cave, with its botanical vegetation, has a Jurassic feel to it – and whets your appetite for what's inside. In the Blue Cave, an audiovisual timelapse documentary called Genesis recounts the history of Majorca from the Big Bang to today. And the Classic Cave, which is a network of 12 chambers, is full of mystery. There's also a soothing Venetian-inspired music show.The mild gives way to the wild at Dinosaurland, where you'll walk among the more than 100 life-sized recreations of dinosaurs, including the mythical Titanosaurus, at more than 50 metres long. Some consider it to have been the largest species. The kids can also play at being palaeontologists, enjoy games and puzzles or try their hand at drawing. A great day out for the whole family.

Kick off with a drive through Binissalem's wine region, heading toward the Sóller Valley en route to Fornalutx. Fringed with orange and lemon groves, it oozes authentic Majorcan charm. It's no surprise it's often referred to as one of the prettiest villages in Spain. You'll have time to wander around the narrow, cobbled streets and even do a spot of souvenir shopping from the local handicraft shops.You'll continue to Son Marroig, the former summer residence of Habsburg Archduke Ludwig Salvator. Admire the artefacts and antiques, and stroll around the gardens. Drach Caves, pearl shop with digital museum & local market tour

Three Majorca musts share top billing on this tour. You'll stroll the stalls of a farmer's market, delve into the depths of the famous Drach Caves and visit the renowned Majorica pearl factory. Xisca, one of our local guides, says, ‘Before you even set foot inside, you call feel something truly spectacular lies ahead. The cave system is a world of secretive caverns and subterranean lakes brought to life by music and light shows.'Your first stop will be the Majorica shop and museum, where possibly the finest imitation pearls in the world are made. See digital displays explaining the manufacturing process before browsing pearl jewellery in the shop. Xisca says, ‘The designs are creative and exquisitely crafted, which is why Majorica jewellery is such a popular birthday or Christmas gift on the island.'It's then on to the weekly market in a country town.
