Att göra – Skotska slott
Med tjocka murar av sten och höga torn har slotten i Skottland vaktat högländerna i århundraden. Många byggdes som försvar, vilket hjälpte kungar och hertigar att etablera sitt styre över landet, medan andra var överdådiga lanthus, byggda mer för stil än praktiskt försvar. Flera slott har sett blodiga strider och vänt tidvattnet i episka krig. De har blivit en stadig del av skotsk historia och är något du inte får missa!
Edinburghs slott är en av de mest kända, som tränger över staden på en mäktig kulle. Fans av TV-serien Game of Thrones kommer att känna igen Doune-slottet och de som följt på Downton Abbey kommer att ha sett Inveraray-slottet i ett julavsnitt. Stirling-slottet är ett annat viktigt slott att besöka, stort och imponerande på en av de mest strategiska punkterna i landet.
