Nowa Huta är Krakows kommunistiska distrikt, designat av Sovjetunionen. Det är en av endast två fullständigt planerade socialistiska realist bosättningar. Krakows förorter symboliserar den utopiska visionen av den kommunistiska staden. Nowa Huta är utformat på ett homogent och harmoniskt sätt och skulle vara ett proletärt paradis.
