You'll learn how more than 1.5 million people were sent to the camps by the Nazi regime and put to death during World War II. Founded in 1947, the memorial was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979 for the important story it relates.

Pay your respects to the victims of the Holocaust, while hearing details about life at the camp, where original features, along with personal possessions that belonged to the prisoners, are a reminder of the horrors that should never happen again.

We did not get picked up or dropped off at the hotel. Had an email to say "pick up and drop off cant be done from your hotel" Had to walk across town. What if we couldnt walk that far????

We where let down twice they cancelled our trip on the Wednesday so that spoiled the rest of the day then they said they would try for the Thursday but it was unlikely so we couldn’t plan any other trip just in case as this was the main reason we went there they messaged me late afternoon to say we could go Friday at 1’30 pm so couldn’t do much in morning where our original time was 9,30 am so it spoiled our trip really won’t be doing it again
