Things to do in Alexandria

Alexandria is a beautiful and bustling coastal city located just two and a half hours North-east from the country's capital Cairo. Considered to be the cultural capital of Egypt, Alexandria has been a fundamental port city, since its establishment in 331 B.C. by the famous Alexander the Great. Ancient and glorious by reputation, boasting its importance for thousands of years, it was once the home to both the "Great Library of Alexandria" and the grand "Lighthouse of Alexandria" (One of the Seven Wonders of the World).
