What to expect

Dive into the original Victorian architecture of the oldest operating aquarium in the world, built in 1872.

Be enchanted by rays, turtles, jellyfish, sharks, and more. Look out for the dazzling scales, crazy colours, and fantastic fins of mesmerizing creatures. Visit the beautifully restored Victorian Arcade, explore rockpools, stroke a starfish, and take part in various hands on experiences. See the seahorses grip at seagrass with their curly tails and suck up tiny shrimp with their straw-like snouts. Join staff behind the scenes and learn how they keep the animals happy and healthy. Learn about the breeding programmes and maybe even see some babies!

From 25 May, enjoy a brand-new ocean experience with state-of-the-art technology, Jawsome creatures, and a world first theme.

Meeting point:

Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your booked time. Traveling by train is recommended as parking is limited and can be expensive. There is a disabled access entrance located through an underpass from the beach that can be accessed via the ramp down to the beach. The underpass leads out into the entrance and therefore avoiding the steps down to the entrance. The underpass is also useful for those with strollers.

What to remember

Your ticket gives you entry to SEA LIFE Brighton, with entrance at your chosen time slot. Once you have entered, take all the time you'd like
Children aged 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult, aged 18+
All children under 3 must be booked in and have a valid ticket (free of charge)
Registered service dogs and guide dogs are permitted
Guests with access needs are entitled to a free carer ticket. All visiting guests except for the carer require a purchased ticket
Upon entry to the attraction, you will need to show proof of disability
Please note, carers must be aged 14+
There is a disabled toilet available however, please note, there is no hoist
There is only one area of SEA LIFE Brighton which does not have full wheelchair access, and this is the Ocean Display in the auditorium, however this display can also be seen from the Ocean Tunnel which is accessible
Staff who carry out all of the talks in the Auditorium will always leave the talk via the underwater tunnel, specifically to speak to any wheelchair / mobility scooter users or people with strollers who were not able to attend the talk session upstairs
Please also note that there is a step that runs alongside some of the displays in the Victorian arcade which means wheelchair or mobility scooter access is restricted by approximately a 70cm distance
