What to expect

This tour will take you to a trekking path that reaches the Emerald Lagoon.

The journey starts from your hotel with a comfortable vehicle and will take you up to the beginning of the trail. From there you will take the path that enters the forest within the Lasifashaj Valley. You will also cross several peat areas and rocky terrains. Then you will continue the walk along the Esmeralda River, until you reach the wonderful Laguna Esmeralda, a small lake of glacial origin, which owes its name to the color that the sediments that come from the Ojo del Albino Glacier give it. This color can only be seen in summer, since in winter it will be frozen and covered with snow.

While you enjoy the view of the Lagoon you can reload your energy by eating a box lunch. After that you will be able to undertake the way back, as the road will be familiar to you and you will also have the last chance to appreciate the beauties that surround you.
