Head out of the bustling city to enjoy the peacefulness of nature and breathe some fresh air. You will experience the beauty of Jægersborg Dyrehave, a nature reserve with woods, lakes, and fields during a guided hike.
Meet your guide in the morning and enjoy a scenic 12km drive (30-minutes) north. Soon you will find yourself in a beautiful wild forest, home to the oldest amusement park in the world, Bakken. Jægersborg Dyrehave, also known just as Dyrehave, is named after the two thousand deer living in the park (Dyrehave means deer in Danish). Your local guide will take you on a walk through the forest passing the picturesque Eremitage Castle and hopefully some grazing deer.
During the hike, you will have a short break to enjoy a picnic in the wild. Sit down on the ground and try some tasty dishes like smoked salmon, serrano ham with melon, fennel sausage, and a bottle of white wine. After approximately 4-hours it is time to say goodbye to the calm nature and get ready for a return to the lively city. You and your guide will make your way back to Copenhagen in a sustainable way by taking the S-train to the city center.
