What to expect

Prepare to be whisked back in time to the Renaissance at the Accademia Gallery – boasting the largest collection of Michelangelo’s masterpieces. In small groups, you'll skip the lines and dive into a treasure trove of fine art, sculptures, and more. And, a glimpse of Michelangelo’s David will steal the spotlight. Elena, one of our local guides, says, 'We’ll explore how top-tier artists like Giotto, Leonardo, and Michelangelo used their art to tell powerful stories – with a sneak peek into the lives of the mighty Medici family.’

Kickstart the tour by exploring the gallery's seven halls. From awe-inspiring paintings and frescoes in the Hall of the Colossus to the mysterious allure of Michelangelo’s unfinished statues in the Hall of Prisoners, every corner has a story to tell. And the real showstopper? The crown jewel of Italian sculptures – Michelangelo’s David. Standing tall and proud, this A-class talent was carved from a single block of marble by the genius himself when he was just 26, and you’ll be able to snap up all the pics you want

Once you've taken enough snaps to fill your camera roll, it's time to visit the Florentine Gothic hall. Prepare to be dazzled by shimmering gold treasures and timeless religious artworks, along with a blast from the past with 13th and 14th-century Giottesque works. And, for a musical finale, you’ll step into the Museum of Musical Instruments to explore the elegant collection of string and wind instruments, including a one-of-a-kind Stradivari viola, decked out with the iconic Medici family crest.

Nat Geo Day Tour: Agricultura regenerativa en Fattoria Triboli
