This tour takes you off the beaten track to the Asian part of the Bosphorus, to taste local delicacies linked to the Asian culinary tradition of Istanbul.
This experience is part of STEP, a selection of walking tours designed as a way to discover a destination in more depth, finding hidden gems, meeting the locals and exploring off the beaten path.
You are going to meet with your local guide at the time you choose on the calendar by the Karakoy tram station security kiosk, unless you have opted for pick-up service. Firstly, you will catch a ferry from the European side of Istanbul to the Asian side of the city in Kadikoy (which is the Kalkedon ancient name that means the city of the blind), where you are going to taste kebab, Mersin's tantuni or if you are feeling adventurous maybe you can have a taste of a liver wrap. You will continue to the fish market where you can sample stuffed or fried mussels as well as pickles. Turkish people love their pickles, and you will visit a shop that sells exclusively pickles. A Turkish food tour would not be complete without sampling Turkish coffee and desserts. So, after indulging, you will then take the boat back to the Kadikoy ferry station where the tour will conclude.
