Visit to both parts of the camp, Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II-Birkenau with private transportation from Krakow. Auschwitz-Birkenau was to be the largest extermination camp during World War II where over a million people were murdered. Entering the former camp area you will be overcome by emotions as you learn about the hunger, medical experiments, exhausting work, diseases, executions that were experienced here.
Travel to Auschwitz by private tranport for 1.5-hours. During the journey you will watch the documentary film titled 'Chronicle of the liberation of the camp' - a tragedy picture of the liberated camp captured by a Soviet military film crew.
At Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum an official museum educator will share with you a heartbreaking story as you visit the gate with the 'Arbeit macht frei' (Work makes you free) sign, the brick camp barracks which now house thematic exhibitions, the Wall of Death, gas chamber and crematorium.
Break for 15-minutes for a short rest and to eat a light lunch that you have brought with you.
Then, transfer to Auschwitz-II Birkenau for the continuation of the tour at Birkenau with an official museum educator. Here you will see the Guardhouse and the main gate of Auschwitz-II Birkenau, ruins of gas chambers with crematoria, the International Monument dedicated to the Victims of the Auschwitz Camp and the wooden barracks.
