You will venture into the open countryside of the Ljubljana Basin, ascend a hill for some panoramic views, then make a dash through the meadows and fields of rural Slovenia to relax in the streets of Slovenia’s vibrant capital.
Begin in Ljubljana and journey you deep into the picturesque countryside of the capital’s immediate surroundings. As you whiz out of the urban area, the route remains flat while the scenery already changes dramatically as houses are replaced by open fields. Wind your way along the foothills of the Polhov Gradec Dolomites, part of the Alpine hilly region of north-western Slovenia, and ascend the highest peak Sv. Trije Kralji (Three Holy Kings) with a church of the same name. The 850 m summit offers spectacular views and doubles as our quick pit-stop.
Your tour will then descend into the lowlands, past the scenic municipality of Horjul and back to Ljubljana for a nice refreshing drink.
