The high sandbanks provide plenty of habitat for a wide variety of critters. Manatees, otters, alligators, turtles, and birds by the hundreds, if not thousands! Birding is spectacular with great blue herons, ospreys, pileated woodpeckers, owls, and tons of songbirds.
