Starting from meeting your guide at your accommodation in Porto, you'll hear about the first demarcated region of the world's wines since 1756 whilst you travel through the valleys which are like an amphitheatre to the river to see Peso da Régua, Pinhão, Casal de Loivos, and back to Porto. Also, you'll learn how the wine region is designed and hand-crafted over the years to foster the best conditions for the development of the grape, even before giving rise to the nectar.
Next, you'll board the 1-hour boat ride through the calm waters of the Douro River before indulging in typical Portuguese food for lunch. The tour includes visits to two wineries with tastings: a Port wine producer and a family-owned business farm that produces wine, olive oil, and honey.
