What to expect

Discover the Hippo Submarine on this 180-minute journey where you'll view the seabed through huge portholes from the second deck which is four feet underwater and learn about Saint Paul's Church, Lindos and Navarone Bay through its top unique sites.

Starting from Saint Paul's Bay dock, you'll sail away into the deeper sandy waters before approaching Kleovoulos’ Tomb where you'll hear the story of the beloved ancient Greek philosopher and poet Kleovoulos while floating near his last residence. The next stop is Lindos Beach to see a unique angle of the whitewashed little town that once used to be among the naval superpowers of the Aegean Sea.

The ancient Acropolis is just around the corner and you will be able to admire it from sea level. After feeding the fish at the local reef past the Lion’s Head Cove, it's your turn to swim in the clear waters of Navarone’s Bay. On the way back you will discover Saint Paul’s Bay and the most famous church on the island which will amaze you and you will learn why it is so popular hosting more than 300 weddings every year.

Meeting point:

Go to the Hippo Submarine dock at Saint Paul's Bay 20 minutes prior to departure time. Look for the yellow submarine. If you choose the pick-up option, please note that the service is limited to the radius between Kolybia and Genadi area.

Please note that this tour operates with and without pickup. If you choose the transfer option, please note that this is limited to specific locations (Kolymbia - Plimmiri Area) and days of the week. On Monday / Wednesday / Friday the transfer is available from Lindos to Plimmiri region and on Tuesday / Thursday / Saturday from Vlycha to Kolymbia region
You'll be requested to add your hotel's full name if you choose the transfer option. Your final pickup time will be confirmed with you directly by the local operator at least one day before the tour

The Order of St John of Jerusalem occupied Rhodes from 1309 to 1523, transforming the city into a stronghold. Their fortifications will be the focus of your photography masterclass. How will you capture the story of Rhodes through your images? Your visit begins with a theory session where your National Geographic-trained photography guide will share tips on composition, lighting, and storytelling through photography. To add an exciting dimension to your day's photography, your tutor will run a competition to find the best shot of the day. With that motivation, you'll walk around the perimeter of the fortress and through the huge gateway, capturing shots of the medieval elements. As you enter the old walled town of Rhodes – which has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1988 – more exciting shooting locations will reveal themselves, including the Street of Knights and the Clock Tower. Pirate Tim and Calypso the Parrot need your help to find their lost treasure. But first you need to be fully trained in all the skills you need to become a pirate. Eleni, one of our local crew members, says, 'Rhodes was once a hugely important trading post in the Mediterranean region, and pirates were a real threat to this success. The island's governors directed the Rhodes Navy to spend all their time policing the waters nearby in order to protect the ships carrying valuable goods such as salt and olive oil.' You'll join our plucky crew in search of the booty, and along the way everyone will get into the pirate spirit with some help from the pirate team on the boat. There'll be lots of fun activities for everyone to get involved with. For our little pirate crew, there'll be face painting and lots of pirate-themed games to play and for the older pirate crew, there'll be some pirate challenges to join in with.
