Vyborg is one of the oldest cities in northwest Russia, founded in 1293. It is one of the few cities where a picturesque location, rich history, architecture of several eras and cultures merged together. Vyborg Castle is the only castle of the era of medieval knights in Russia.
The city was founded by the Swedes and during its existence more than once passed to the Finns, then to the Germans. The rulers gave the residence an external chic and arranged a brilliant court life. At the height of the Northern War in 1710, the period of Russian rule began.
An exciting guided walking tour of the old town and a stroll through the Monrepo landscape park await you.
