We will start this tour outside the Opera House main entrance at Gustav Adolfs Torg. We will first pass ”the Swedish Whitehouse” Sagerska palatset and the Parliament, and our first stop will be at the House of Nobility. We will then reach Riddarholmen which has a panoramic view over lake Mälaren, the City Hall, the Southern Island and the defense tower from 1500s. We will then see Storkyrkan, the Stockholm Cathedral with Sankt George and the Dragon statue (1489) and the oldest painting of Stockholm.
We will then head to the ferry and on the way we will see and hear about a rune stone from 1000s, the Stockholm Bloodbath, the Main square, the Nobel prize, the Palace with 616 rooms, as well as the tiniest alley in Stockholm (90cm). We will take the ferry to Djurgården Island and enjoy a different view of the Old Town and Eastern part of Södermalm from the sea. Once there, we will go for a short walk to the Vasamuseum, the number one attraction in Stockholm, and we will enter using skip the line tickets. The Vasa ship is the best preserved warship from the 1600s, it sank on the maiden voyage on a sunny Sunday in August 1628 and was salvaged on a Monday 333 years later. That's a story you don’t want to miss!
