Dusty and lunar-like in the south, green and mountainous in the north, Tenerife is an island of contrasts. Think quaint villages, stunning viewpoints and wine tasting on this full day tour. You'll visit the UNESCO-listed city of La Laguna, drop into a bodega for a wine tasting and explore a banana plantation.
First up is a visit to La Laguna, arguably one of the prettiest villages on the island. Throw in its status as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and it makes for a real gem of a stop. Wander its poker straight lines of pastel-coloured buildings and historic mansions or stop for a coffee in one of the tree-lined plazas. Hit the market here, and you can admire the impressive flower displays the town is famed for.
It's then on to a local bodega, where a typical Canarian lunch is followed by one of the highlights of the day – a Canarian wine tasting session. And rounding off the day is a tour of a banana plantation, where you can try the local variety.
