What to expect

Tenerife's Mount Teide National Park boasts some of the most breathtaking scenery and views in all the archipelago. Crowned by the volcanic peak of Mount Teide, this natural wilderness takes on an otherworldly quality as the setting sun glazes its ridges and rocks in soft pinks, reds and purples.

The skies and atmospheric conditions above Teide – the highest mountain in Spain – are among the best in the world for stargazing. You'll be driven high up into the craggy wilderness of the national park, with lots of photo stops along the way.

As daylight fades, watch the setting sun fire this landscape in a blaze of colour. Then, once darkness has fallen, we'll continue on to a special viewpoint where your professional guide will map out the night sky for you, explaining the starry constellations. And to top it all, a three-course dinner sets the seal on the whole magical outing.

Dominique is een fantastische reisleider we hebben heel veel van hem geleerd. Hij vertelt boeiend en alles wat hij vertelt doet hij op een hele leuke manier. Prettig om tijdens de busreis en het sterrenkijken naar hem te luisteren. Complimenten hoe hij alles doet.

Wat een verademing. Gids Isabella leidde ons rond vergezeld door goede chauffeur Dominico. Een geweldige trip naar de Teide. Mooie zonsondergang, veel informatie over flora en vulkanisme. Goede verzorging onderweg. En lekker gedineerd. En de knaller van de avond: sterren kijken, eerst met blote oog en daarna met speciaal voor ons geplaatste telescopen. En veel kundige uitleg van enthousiaste Isabella. Een aanrader

Excursie geboekt op 12 november, Die ging niet door i.v.m. slecht weer. Kreeg optie voor 14 november. Was in orde volgens Tui. Op de bus gewacht op de afgesproken tijd en plaats. Die kwam dus niet. Blijkt dat de boeking naar 17 november???? was gezet. Helaas zijn we dan al thuis. Het boeking systeem is dus waardeloos of de mensen. Kreeg wel verontschuldiging, maar hopelijk maken ze deze fout niet meer. Je staat gewoon voor niets in de volle zon te wachten op een afgesproken plaats en tijd en

Helaas alleen zonsondergang bij de Teide, niet van omliggende eilanden. Info van reisleider was goed, sterrennacht interessant. Eten was van mindere kwaliteit. En een lange broek en minimaal trui/ vest is raadzaam.
