Home to a dazzling array of marine life and warm Aegean waters, Thassos is the ideal spot for a first-time scuba dive. Discover a world below the waves with this beginner's course. Even if you've no experience, your qualified instructors will have you enjoying the underwater kingdom in no time.

You'll start the course by learning the basics at the dive school. Getting to grips with your equipment, you'll learn diving theory and some all-important scuba skills. Then slip on your scuba gear and continue to learn in the shallows of the Aegean Sea.

Dive in and your expert instructors will have you feeling like a pro as you spot colourful coral, swaying seagrass and shimmering shoals of fish. What's more, they'll snap a few underwater photos that you'll get to take home too – the perfect keepsake from a day of unforgettable holiday memories.

    Wow, this was a great experience! The guides were friendly. They covered the safety aspects of the dive clearly and effectively so we felt safe undertaking the dive. They consistently monitored our well being but took away none of the enjoyment. We had a wonderful day.

Schatten van Thassos

Op deze excursie zie je het beste van Thassos. Terwijl je de hele dag het platteland en de kust doorkruist vertelt de gids je alle mythen en legendes. Je gaat op weg naar Panagia, Aliki, dat bekend staat om zijn schitterende strand, en het Archangelos klooster. Het is een geweldige manier om het eiland te zien en het landschap is ongeëvenaard.Eerst ga je naar het Archangelos klooster (aartsengel Michael), een 12e-eeuws klooster waar nog monniken leven en dat op de rand van een klif ligt. Je bekijkt de kapel vol iconen. En vergaapt je aan de uitzichten op de Egeïsche Zee. Met helder weer zie je zelfs Athos, de heilige berg, op het Griekse vasteland liggen. Daarna staat Aliki op het programma, een prachtig voorgebergte omzoomd door stranden, waar je tijd aan jezelf hebt om te wandelen en te zonnebaden. Ook is er een pitstop in Faros om te lunchen.Dan trek je verder naar Panagia. Je neemt hier een kijkje bij de kerk met de blauwe koepel en ziet de miniatuurkanalen die water uit de bergen aanvoeren. En je sluit de tour af in het luchtige Thassos met zijn oude marktplaats, het centrum van de handel en politiek van die tijd.
