Things to do in Centraal Museum
The Centraal Museum Utrecht is the oldest Municipal Museum in the Netherlands and offers you collections of modern art, contemporary art, ancient art, urban history, and fashion and costume.
Its history begins around the year 1830 like a Municipal Museum of Antiquities and through the years it has gone through different changes, of name, locations, until in January 2013 the Museum became independent. Instead of being a service of the Utrecht City Council, it is now a foundation.
You'll find the world's largest collection of Gerrit Rietveld designs, works by old Dutch masters like the Caravaggists of Utrecht, and illustrations by Dick Bruna, creator of Miffy.
Get your tickets and explore its temporary and permanent exhibitions to discover the story of Utrecht and the interaction of this city with the world and the art.
