Things to do in Veracruz

Veracruz, officially known as Heroica Veracruz, is a major port city and municipality on the Gulf of Mexico in the Mexican state of Veracruz. Among the attractions that the city offers are the Veracruz Aquarium, the City Museum, Fort San Juan de Ulúa, and the Naval Academy. The cultural center of the city is its main plaza, officially named Plaza de las Armas but commonly called the Zocalo. Veracruz has a blend of cultures, mostly indigenous, ethnic Spanish, and Afro-Cuban.
