Join this fascinating adventure and explore the Little Karoo, Whale Route, Addo Elephant National Park, and Route 62.
DAY 1: CAPE TOWN – HERMANUS – CAPE AGULHAS
From Cape Town, head to Hermanus, stopping en route to visit a colony of endangered African penguins. Explore Hermanus, famous for hundreds of southern right whales during the whale season (July to November). End the day at the most southern tip of Africa, and visit a viewpoint known as the “real” place where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans meet.
DAY 2: CAPE AGULHAS – OUDTSHOORN
Travel to Oudtshoorn and enjoy lunch and wine tasting at a local winery, before checking into your accommodation.
DAY 3: OUDTSHOORN – WILDERNESS – SEDGEFIELD
Explore Wilderness National Park with some canoes. Paddle up the Touw River through indigenous forest, leaving the canoes for a 2 km hike along a boardwalk, which will take you to a waterfall and rock pools. Afternoon at leisure.
DAY 4: SEDGEFIELD - KNYSNA -TSITSIKAMMA – ADDO
Explore Knysna, including a visit to the Knysna Heads viewpoint. En-route to Addo, visit the Bloukrans Bridge and Tsitsikamma National Park. Enjoy the activities, including hiking, crossing a suspension bridge, and swimming. Leave the Garden Route for Big 5 country, Addo.
DAY 5: ADDO – GQEBERHA (PORT ELIZABETH)
Explore Addo Elephant National Park, which approximately 600 elephants and some cape buffalo, lions, black rhinos, warthogs, zebras, elands, kudus, and hartebeest call home. Drive to Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth).
