What to expect

Come along on a wonderful experience visiting William Shakespeare's iconic Globe Theatre followed by a festive afternoon tea at Swan at the Globe!

The tour will start with a visit to William Shakespeare’s iconic Globe Theatre. Your expert guide will bring this extraordinary open-air theatre to life with colorful stories of the 1599 Globe, the reconstruction process in the 1990s, and how the building works today as an imaginative and experimental theatre space. Take a seat ‘within this wooden ‘O’’ – listen, absorb and ask questions as the secrets of the Globe unfold.

Following your tour, eat your way through an enchanting festive afternoon tea at Swan at the Globe, the theatre’s onsite bar and restaurant. Tea is served in the Swan’s beautiful dining room, decorated for the holiday season, which overlooks St. Paul’s Cathedral, a bustling Bankside, and the majestic River Thames.

This exquisite experience puts a theatrical twist on afternoon tea and in the run-up to Christmas, Swan’s pastry chefs work their magic and give afternoon tea a winter makeover. Take in the stunning views of London whilst enjoying festive favorites such as Christmas cake scones, mulled wine jellies and chestnut tartlets alongside hot spiced cocktails alongside afternoon tea classics including a selection of finger sandwiches and sweet delicacies and fancies, served with a warm and friendly service.
