The first stop of the day is Thingvellir National Park. Visit the Mid-Atlantic Ridge and stand in both America and Europe at the same time. Next up is the geothermal area of Haukadalur where you will visit Geysir, the geyser that gave name to all other geysers. To finish you will watch the geyser Strokkur erupt sending hot water up into the air.

Continue your journey to the magnificent Gullfoss, the two-step waterfall is also called gold falls and receives its water from the Langjokull glacier. You will head down to the South Coast to the volcanic crater Kerid. Stroll around and admire the colorful volcanic landscapes coming from the iron in the rocks. The land, together with the green moss and the turquoise lake inside the crater, create a breathtaking sight.

You will then slowly make your way back towards Reykjavik but before returning, visit the Sky Lagoon. Enjoy this new spa for 2-hours of relaxation. Float in the infinity pool while watching the ocean, find the hidden bar, and explore the various saunas. Enjoy the traditional seven-step hotpot ritual using warm and cold waters. A perfect ending to this Golden Circle day tour.

TUI Into Langjökull Glacier

Iceland is famous for its glaciers but until recently, what lies underneath the Langjokull glacier had been a mystery. In 2010, the first manmade Glacier Ice Cave was carved to take people inside the heart of this remote glacier ice cap. What's more, you'll also visit the Hraunfossar Waterfall. After arriving at Husafell base, you'll climb onto a rugged snow truck to start your ascent to the ice cave, exploring the rugged glacial landscape along the way. An experienced guide will lead the way inside, where you'll see the magnificent blue ice buried deep beneath the surface that stays at a constant temperature of 0°.All this is combined with stunning waterfalls and panoramic views of the mountains as you make your way north to the glacier. And on our return, you might – with luck – catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights dancing through the sky.
