Why you’ll love this…
  • Visit Geysir hot spring and Gullfoss the Golden waterfall, the most iconic sights in Iceland in a single day
  • See the big Volcanic Crater Kerid, and the magical lake hidden at the bottom
  • Explore the national shire of all Icelanders, Thingvellir National park, and experience standing on two continents at the same time
  • Discover the natural wonders of the geysers and watch as a column of water is launched in the air to incredible heights
What to expect

If you travel to Iceland, Geysers, Gullfoss the Golden Waterfall and Thingvellir are an absolute must-see. In the course of only eight hours, you'll be picked up from your hotel and you'll get to explore all three major Icelandic sites. As a bonus, you'll also get to see something extremely unique, the big Volcanic Crater Kerid.

Thingvellir National park is the national shire of all Icelanders: it lies in the belt of volcanic activity and fissures which pass across Iceland, a part of the mid-Atlantic ridge that divides Europe from America. You can stand with your right foot on one side and the left on the other, and experience being on two continents at once.

Next, you'll see the biggest geysers of the valley of Haukadalur, Strokkur and Geysir itself, which gives all the others in the world their name. Strokkur erupts every 5 to 10 minutes, launching a column of water into the air to a height of 20 to 30 meters. At Geysir, you'll have the opportunity to buy your lunch before heading to the beautiful waterfall of Gullfoss; you'll be amazed by its raw power. This completes the standard Golden Circle route but before heading back to Reykjavik, you will also visit the Kerid Volcanic Crater. The crater is 270 m wide and more than 55 m deep and at the bottom of the crater you'll find a lake, which gives it a little bit of magic.

TUI Into Langjökull Glacier

Iceland is famous for its glaciers but until recently, what lies underneath the Langjokull glacier had been a mystery. In 2010, the first manmade Glacier Ice Cave was carved to take people inside the heart of this remote glacier ice cap. What's more, you'll also visit the Hraunfossar Waterfall. After arriving at Husafell base, you'll climb onto a rugged snow truck to start your ascent to the ice cave, exploring the rugged glacial landscape along the way. An experienced guide will lead the way inside, where you'll see the magnificent blue ice buried deep beneath the surface that stays at a constant temperature of 0°.All this is combined with stunning waterfalls and panoramic views of the mountains as you make your way north to the glacier. And on our return, you might – with luck – catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights dancing through the sky.
