Things to do in Lazienki Park

Visit the largest park in Warsaw covering over 76 hectares in the city’s center. Designed by nobleman Stanisław Herakliusz Lubomirski and later transformed to include palaces, villas and monuments by Poland’s last monarch. Łazienki park was finally dedicated as a public park in 1918.

Today Łazienki is a popular destination for tourists as it sits on part of the Royal Route linking the Royal Castle with Wilanów Palace to the south and to the north of the Park you can reach the Ujazdów Castle.

Inside you will find an orangery, amphitheatre, eighteenth-century court theatre, the Museum of Hunting and Horse-riding, the Myślewicki Palace and numerous free-standing sculptures along with pristine gardens, a large lake and even peacocks.

Be sure to see the parks most iconic building, the Palace on the Island. This converted bathhouse was the private home for the last king of Poland.

Opening Hours:

  • Entrance to the park is free, open morning to evening - the gates are closed at 9.00pm
  • The Museum's facilities are open six days a week
  • The last entry to the buildings takes place half an hour before they are closed
  • Admission tickets are required for permanent exhibitions and temporary exhibitions in the Old Orangery, White House, Water Park, Palace on the Island, Myślewicki Palace, Podchorążówka and in the Hunting and Riding Museum
  • Friday - free admission day, no reservations required, only individual visits (no guided tours available), audio guides pay PLN 12
  • Audio guides are available for rent in Polish, English, French, German, Russian, Spanish and Italian
  • Children and students up to 26 years old can enter with a reduced ticket

Winter season (1 December - 30 April):

  • Palace on the Island, Old Orangery and Royal Theater, Myslewicki Palace, the Chocolate - Museum shop and Hunting and Riding Museum are open Tuesdays to Sundays from 9.00am - 4.00pm
  • New Palmery - Ecological Education Center, Tuesdays to Thursdays from 9.00am - 6.00pm
  • From 21 to 31 December the Museum of Hunting and Riding will be closed

Summer season (1 May - 30 September):

  • Palace on the Island, Old Orangery and Royal Theater, Myslewicki Palace, the Chocolate - Museum shop and Hunting and Riding Museum:
    • Tuesdays to Thursdays from 10.00am - 6.00pm
    • Fridays from 10.00am - 8.00pm
    • Saturday and Sundays from 10.00am - 6.00pm
  • New Palmery - Ecological Education Center, Tuesdays to Thursdays from 4.00pm - 7.00pm

In October and November takes place at the following times:

  • Palace on the Island, Old Orangery and Royal Theater, Myslewicki Palace, Chocolate - Museum shop and the Hunting and Riding Museum:
    • Tuesdays to Thursdays from 10.00am - 4.00pm
    • Fridays from 10.00am - 6.00pm
    • Saturday and Sundays from 10.00am - 4.00pm
  • New Palmery - Ecological Education Center, Tuesdays to Thursdays from 4.00pm - 6.00pm

The historic facilities of the Royal Łazienki are open to visitors:

  • 1 May - Labor Day
  • 3 May - Constitution Day
  • Pentecost
  • 15 August - Polish Army Day / Assumption of the Virgin Mary

How to get there:

Reach Lazienki Park by taking the Royal Route, about 3.5 km from the Royal Castle

  • West gates from Al. Ujazdowskie are located at the Belvedere, Chopin Monument and Tea Room
  • North gate from Myśliwiecka street
  • South gate from ul. Gagarin
