Transport tur-retur
We were lucky enough to have lovely sunny weather on the day of our trip. The instructions for finding the ferry we needed to take and where the departure centre was were not very clear but fortunately we went to find it the day before or we might have missed the trip. The staff at the departure centre were very pleasant and the coach journey good. The village was beautiful and so interesting and enjoyable but unfortunately there was not enough time to see everything without rushing round.
The windmill village Zaanse Schans, 30 minutes from Amsterdam, is a residential area in which the 18th and 19th centuries are brought to life.
