Enjoy free pickup from Funchal, Caniço or Câmara de Lobos and private transportation to the highlights in this part of the island, including Pico do Arieiro, the highest mountain, the Laurisilva of Madeira, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the picturesque village of Santana.

After hotel pickup, head towards Pico do Arieiro, the highest mountain accessible by car and the third-highest of the island (1818m). Here you'll be astonished by the fantastic mountain views. Immerse yourself further in the nature of the island as you descend towards Ribeiro Frio located in the middle of the Laurisilva laurel forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Continuing along the north coast, you'll pass through Faial and arrive in Santana. This town is known for its typical thatched-roof houses. After lunch, stop at Ponta de São Lourenço and behold the unique rocky formations and impressive views. On the way back to your hotel, visit Machico, the historic city where the discoverers landed for the first time in 1419.
