Zakynthos nyd oplevelsen af St. Dennis Festivalen

Virkelig flot arrangement og fejring af de lokale. Men alt for mange mennesker på et alt for lille areal. Så flere blive dårlige. Meget svært at få plads på en restaurant. Men alt i alt meget imponerende med alle de handlende, lokale, bådene i havnen osv.

I undertook this trip with a young family. There was a walk from the coach into town where the festival took place. There was no pavement and heading kids along a road with traffic and other pedestrians on was not ideal. When we reached the centre the crowds were much larger than expected so we could see very little. We were told to use loos at restaurants., which had no water and the public loos were vile. We returned to the coach, but we had a great time waiting in a bar enjoying fireworks.

The actual festival was great but the trip advertised and provided by TUI was very disappointing. Advertised as a Tour and with 2 TUI tour guides I expected just that! We were picked up and driven to Zakinthos and dropped off. The TUI tour guide read detail of the festival from her notes, she couldn't pronounce half of the details but told us about 10 times we would be picked up at 11pm. There was NO tour and they were not tour guides! Local bus cost €2 each, this cost €20 each. Not worth it.

I er beskrivning skriver ni höjdpunkter, i tidigare resenärers rekommendationer beskrivs en båttur. Den omnämns även av er guide Maria på information om resan. Det är falsk marknadsföring att beskriva det på 2 ställen och att man sen inte får reda på var man kan göra det. Ser man hela informationen kan man även tolka det som att den kommer arrangeras av Tui. Det bör tas bort och ej marknadsföra en båttur om det ej är aktuellt för resan. För mycket betalt för denna korta tur.

Pick up both ways was on time. Guide give good background on festival on bus en route. Walk route to festival was clear and easy to follow on return. Festival itself was interesting and fireworks were fantastic. Market was a bit patchy mostly fake goods and animals in cages which did not appear to be in healthy condition. Only problem was reps lost passenger list for return journey which caused a short delay checking numbers. Luckily driver had a printed copy which was used as a register

Tour guide took us to the church then disappeared,no mention of where to find them in case of difficulties. Everywhere we went was o lying open for food not just drinks,found a little bar where we could get a drink and all the tui staff were there. On return to the coach the map and QR code was wrong location.
