Qué te espera

Enclavado cerca de la montañosa frontera búlgara se encuentra el lago Kerikini, una vasta zona de marismas que es un paraíso para plantas, aves y fauna poco comunes. Para llegar donde no llegan los autocares, viajarás en barco y en todoterreno para explorar todos los rincones ocultos del principal parque nacional de Grecia. Y tras las aventuras por tierra y por mar, podrá disfrutar de un merecido almuerzo a base de platos locales.

Todo comienza en una embarcación tradicional llamada "plaves", para deslizarse por el agua y admirar el idílico paisaje natural. El lago Kerikini es el principal lugar de observación de aves de Grecia, por lo que, al detenerse por completo, escuchará los sonidos de más de mil pájaros a su alrededor.

Después, todoterrenos bien equipados le llevarán a lugares alrededor del lago donde se dará cuenta de para qué se necesitan los 4x4. Atravesando charcos de barro, no seguirá ninguna carretera en particular mientras zigzaguea por el parque. De vuelta a la base, se sirve un merecido almuerzo, regado con unas copas para terminar el día.

Halkidiki boat trip with Neos Marmaras visit, swimming and lunch

Slow down and ease into a day where you'll escape the crowds and experience a little laidback luxury as you cruise around the western shore of Halkidiki's Sithonia Peninsula. Helene, a local guide, says “this tour takes us to some of my favourite spots. Then, you'll return to the sea and sail to Kelyfos Island, affectionally known as Turtle Island, while enjoying a light lunch on board. The cliffs of this tiny island make for some curious-looking cave formations at its edge that beg to be explored. Take the plunge off the side of the boat and swim around this uninhabited land. Or, if your idea of fun is simply basking on the deck with some music and a cold drink in hand, then feel free to unwind. Whatever floats your boat, you'll want to drink in the coastal views as you sail back to the harbour after a day of escapism.

Toroneos Gulf & Turtle Island Boat Cruise

A day at sea to blow the cobwebs away has holiday stamped all over it. Setting sail from the port of Chrousso, you'll glide along the Kassandra and Sithonia peninsulas – dotted with beautiful islands made up of pine trees and bleached white beaches. You'll also stop by Neos Marmaras and Kelifos Island on this relaxing boat trip.Your destination is Toroni, where you'll be able to have fun and games on the beach or just chill out and top up your tan. There'll be a snack provided once you're back on board, while the skipper navigates to Neos Marmaras. One of the biggest ports in Halkidiki, you'll have time here to explore the town and hit the shops.There's a one last stop during the afternoon at Kelifos Island. It's also known as Turtle Island because of its turtle shell-shape. Dive off the back of the boat for one final swim before heading back to port.
