Qué te espera

Islandia es famosa por sus glaciares, pero hasta hace poco, lo que hay bajo el glaciar Langjokull era un misterio. En 2010, se excavó la primera cueva de hielo glaciar hecha por el hombre para adentrar a la gente en el corazón de este remoto casquete glaciar. Además, también visitará la cascada de Braunfossar.

Tras llegar a la base de Husafell, subirá a un robusto camión de nieve para iniciar el ascenso a la cueva de hielo, explorando el escarpado paisaje glaciar por el camino. Un guía experimentado le conducirá al interior, donde verá el magnífico hielo azul enterrado bajo la superficie, que se mantiene a una temperatura constante de 0°.

Todo esto se combina con impresionantes cascadas y vistas panorámicas de las montañas mientras te diriges hacia el glaciar. Y a nuestro regreso, puede que -con suerte- veamos la aurora boreal danzando por el cielo.
