The Hamburger Bahnhof – Nationalgalerie der Gegenwart is located within a former railway station that once connected Hamburg and Berlin. This monumental site, spanning 30,000 square metres, comprises the historic station building, the Rieckhallen, and the gardens. It has been recognised as a monument since 2023.
Inside and outside the museum, you'll find an extensive collection that paints a vivid panorama of Berlin's art scene from the reunification in 1989 to the present day. The museum further enriches its offerings with up to ten special exhibitions annually.
