Visit the islands around Krabi on a day tour, with departure from your hotel in Phuket. Cruise by ferry to Ao Nang and start your journey by speedboat to reach 4 islands just off the coast of Ao Nang.

You'll be picked up by a minivan in the early morning and sail to Nopparat Thara Pier in Ao Nang on board a ferry. Switch to the speedboat to start the island hopping to Koh Poda, Chicken Island and the sandbar at Tup Islets. The trip includes several open-water swimming and snorkelling stops of around 30 minutes. Travel time between the various beaches is 20 to 25 minutes, usually less.

A popular stop will be Chicken Island, named after a bizarre rock formation resembling the head of a chicken. One end of the island consists of steep cliffs, while the other end has beautiful beaches along a peninsula. This peninsula gets flooded at high tide, creating a small island. At low tide, you can walk between the Tup Islets and Chicken Island.

Get picked up from your hotel in Phuket Town, Patong, Kata, Karon and Chalong. If you're staying in a different area, please meet at Ao Nang Travel & Tour counter at Rassada Port in the south of Phuket Town (Rassada Pier Tambon Ratsada, Amphoe Mueang Phuket, Phuket 83000, Thailand), 30 minutes before the scheduled departure.

Know in advance:

  • There is a minimum of 5 people required to run this activity. If this number is not reached, the local operator will inform you in advance and offer a different travel date, an alternative activity, or provide a full refund
  • It is possible to stay on the boat during swimming and snorkelling stops

Remember to bring:

  • A towel, swimwear, a waterproof bag, sunscreen, sun hat, sunglasses, flip-flops, and a camera
  • Please wear a life jacket if you are not a confident swimmer

    This trip was our first full day in Thailand. It was relaxed, informative and extremely interesting and a great place to start our 10 days in Thailand. Loved the snorkling in most places. Lunch was lovely to.
