Iedereen komt in de winter massaal naar IJsland op zoek naar de beruchte Aurora Borealis. Dit fascinerende natuurfenomeen dat ook wel het noorderlicht wordt genoemd, is een van de meest betoverende bezienswaardigheden die je ooit zult tegenkomen in je leven. De dansende kleuren en vormen in de donkere arctische lucht laten je gewoon vol ontzag achter.

Ten eerste haalt uw deskundige Noorderlichtgids u op bij uw hotel in een op maat gemaakte 4x4 super-jeep. Op zoek naar het noorderlicht reis je 's nachts door enkele van de meest spectaculaire natuurlijke bezienswaardigheden van IJsland met een zeer informatieve gids. Het beste deel: de super jeep geeft ons de flexibiliteit om van de gebaande paden af te gaan, waar grote tourbussen niet kunnen komen, waardoor we een betere kans hebben om te genieten van het noorderlicht zonder het ongemak van grote menigten.

Je gids heeft een astronomische telescoop tijdens de tour, zodat je ook van de wonderen van de nachtelijke hemel beter kunt genieten. In de koude nacht is er niets als warme chocolademelk om warm te blijven - de dapperen kunnen zelfs wat IJslandse Brennivín bij hun voegen!

Onze gidsen nemen elke keer dat het noorderlicht wordt gezien foto's, zodat u zeker weet dat u op de foto gaat met de Aurora.

Deelnemers moeten minimaal 6 jaar oud zijn
Breng alsjeblieft mee : warme buitenkleding, waterdichte jas en broek, hoofddeksels en handschoenen. Goede warme schoenen en wollige sokken. Bij Noorderlicht-tochten moet je naar de lucht kijken, en dat betekent dat je 's winters' s nachts buiten op IJsland bent. Kleed je warm, er is niet zoiets als te veel kleding voor deze tour.
Let op : Aangezien het succes van de Northern Lights Explorer-tour sterk afhankelijk is van de weersomstandigheden, behouden wij ons het recht voor om vertrek te annuleren tot 18.15 uur op de dag van de tour. Als de reis doorgaat en er geen noorderlicht is, bieden we onze klanten de mogelijkheid om gratis op vertier van een andere avond mee te gaan, op basis van beschikbaarheid. Let op: u moet contact met ons opnemen om opnieuw te boeken.

And on this half-day tour everything from transport to entry is all sorted for you, so all you'll need is your swimsuit and a couple of hours to take it easy in some of the most surreal surroundings on the island.Arriving at the Blue Lagoon, you'll walk through reception, pick up your electronic wristband and head straight for the warming waters of the lagoon. TUI Into Langjökull Glacier

Iceland is famous for its glaciers but until recently, what lies underneath the Langjokull glacier had been a mystery. In 2010, the first manmade Glacier Ice Cave was carved to take people inside the heart of this remote glacier ice cap. What's more, you'll also visit the Hraunfossar Waterfall.After arriving at Husafell base, you'll climb onto a rugged snow truck to start your ascent to the ice cave, exploring the rugged glacial landscape along the way. An experienced guide will lead the way inside, where you'll see the magnificent blue ice buried deep beneath the surface that stays at a constant temperature of 0°.All this is combined with stunning waterfalls and panoramic views of the mountains as you make your way north to the glacier. And on our return, you might – with luck – catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights dancing through the sky.
